Stunning news out of Italy: Snooki and Jionni LaValle have broken up.
Hard to believe, we know ... the Jersey Shore star is a beacon of relationship stability. In all seriousness, this did come as something of a surprise, as Snooki's boyfriend recently paid a visit to the set of the MTV show last week.
Snooki and Jionni were photographed on the streets of Italy hugging and kissing as recently as June 3 ... but an insider now says that now it's over.
These two were actually together for about eight months.
"They broke up," an insider says, adding that Jionni's time visiting Snooki and the Jersey Shore cast quickly went sour. "[He] came home early."
"She wasn't sure about him at first and kept asking her friends what they thought of Jionni ... She was hesitant because he isn't the typical gorilla."
It's unclear if that actually prompted the breakup, but really, who cares.
If there's one thing we can count on, it's that Nicole Polizzi's cooca will be on display in a Florence nightclub by the end of the week.
