I don't know if he's sober or not. I don't know who the f-ck is lying at this point, and I'm very scared.
So uttered Angelina on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation this week, quoting Jen Harley and summing up an episode that featured Jen Harley sending her disturbing text messages about Ronnie in a preview of an explosive fight to come.
Buckle up and strap in, everybody.
The group was still in Las Vegas to celebrate the start of Vinny Guadagnino's month-long Chippendales residency on this installment, as Ronnie, Vinny, Pauly D, Deena Cortese and Angelina Pivarnick went to brunch.
Ronnie, however, was clearly distracted.
When he left the table at one point, he also left his phone behind -- and just as his friends pondered a peak through it, Angelina's phone dinged twice.
"Oh, shit. Jen messaged me," she said, later telling the camera: "All of a sudden, my phone is blowing up. And it's Jen. And those text messages are f-cking insane."
Reading from her phone, she said recounting the following in her confessional:
"'Ron went to Cabo, went MIA, texting me crazy shit all hours of the night, stayed longer, blocked me from everything. He just went completely whack.
"Like, what is really going on right now? I don't know if he's sober or not. I don't know who the f-ck is lying at this point, and I'm very scared."
At the brunch table, Pauly asked Angelina if everything was okay.
She shrugged, said no and let out an "Oh. My. God," before Ronnie reappeared.
"Shhh, shhh, here he comes," Vinny warned.
Pauly had no idea what was going on and vented to the camera:
"To me, it's weird that Ron's baby mama, Jen, is reaching out to our family, like, reaching out to our friends instead of reaching out just to him.
"And he can't be honest with us, so she's going around our back and talking to the girls. Sometimes I just wish Ronnie would be honest with us about what's going on."
When the friends left for the pool a short time later, Ronnie remained preoccupied with his phone.
He was texting away like a 14-year old girl before prom.
"I don't know what's going on with Ron," Jenni later told the camera, adding:
"Group chat was informing me that Ron was literally on his phone all day yesterday. Like, it's uncomfortable! If you're gonna be with the roommates, engage. Like, that annoys me!"
To emphasize Ronnie's obsession with his phone, MTV even gave us a look at producers prodding him to look up from texting for just a few minutes to film a confessional.
He did eventually open up, but it was to complain about all the negative attention he receives.
"All people do is talk about me in this house," Ronnie said to the camera. "I take a shit, they talk about it. I jerk off, they talk about it. That's all they do is talk about it."
We're not certain if that is true.
But you keep getting back together with someone who berates you and beats you, Ron, and, yeah, people are gonna talk.
As for what the heck was going on this week between Jen and Ronnie? Everyone spent the bulk of the episode trying to figure it out.
After learning Harley had been texting Angelina, JWoww ordered her pal to hand over her phone.
"Jen messaged me on Instagram, telling me that Ronnie has been missing for a week, she doesn't know where he is, she hasn't spoken to him for a week," Angelina explained in a confessional.
She continued:
"So Jenni grabbed my phone. I'm always Team Ron, I really am. But at this point, I don't even know what to do. I thought that Jenni and Ron are closer than that. I didn't know that she would do this."
To wrap up the intense installment, Pauly held Angelina back as Jenni scrolled through the messages.
"Yeah, they're fighting," she astutely concluded the second Ronnie walked back into their bungalow.
"What'd I miss?" he asked as MTV cut to black.
