Last week, Jersey Shore fans celebrated the news that Sammi Giancola had gotten engaged to Christian Biscardi.
Sammi might not appear on the current iteration of Shore, but she'll always have a place in our hearts, largely due to the sheer quantity of Ron-pages she was forced to endure.
And of course, compared to Ronnie Ortiz-Magro's current partner, Sammi is a literal angel who deserves every Nobel Prize, including the weird ones like physics.
In case you've somehow missed it, Jen Harley is the absolute worst.
Highlights of Jen's erratic behavior including dragging Ronnie with her car and essentially kidnapping the couple's child on more than one occasion.
Yes, Jen and Ronnie have a daughter together, and we suppose that's why he remains with her despite the fact that -- and we really can't stress this enough -- she dragged him with her freakin' car.
It seems Sammi and Ron's relationship has always been a bit of a sore spot for Jen.
That's not terribly surprising, as jealousy is common among the criminally insane.
And to be fair, the situation really isn't helped by Ronnie's alleged tendency to refer to Sammi as “the one that got away.”
“Jen was always extremely jealous knowing she could never live up to the way Ronnie put Sammi on a pedestal,” a source tells the site.
The insider adds that Jen had hoped having a daughter with Ron would lead him to love her as he once loved Sammi, saying:
“Part of her believed having Ariana would change things and somehow make Ronnie love her more by starting a family together, but when it didn’t, sadly they began fighting worse than ever before.”
Fortunately for Jen, it seems she has no reason to fear a Ronnie-Sam reconciliation:
“Sammi feels like Christian is the real love of her life and Ronnie is totally in the past,” the insider adds.
“Even if Sammi and Christian broke up tomorrow, Sammi would never take [Ronnie] back.
"She’s completely moved on and there’s no looking back.”
Smart move on Sammi's part.
If she ever doubts that she made the right decision, she need only tune into about 8 seconds of Jersey Shore Family Vacation.
She's sure to see a classic Ron-page in that time.
