Last week, we learned that Jersey Shore star Mike Sorrentino's tax fraud case has turned into quite the situation.

(Sorry, but one of the many downsides of giving yourself a dumb nickname in your twenties is that people will throw it in your face for the remainder of your days.) 

We've known for several months that The Situation might be facing jail time in connection with trying to hide approximately $9 million in earnings from the IRS.

But now, things are really coming to a head, as Sorrentino has pled guilty to charges that could land him behind bars for up to 15 years.

As The Ashley's Reality Roundup reports, Mike was in court on Friday entering his plea.

His attorney issued a statement in which he pled for clemency from the judge:

"The plea terms call for a balance between punishing the wrong committed and conditions that facilitate Mike living a productive, law-abiding life moving forward,” the statement reads.

“Following through on this plea agreement, Michael intends to pay restitution before sentencing.”

We're not sure what the taxes on $9 million in earnings are like, but we're guessing it amounts to a hell of a lot more than the freakin' Situation is able to come up with on short notice.

Mike's situation scenario is dire, but it could be a lot worse.

For example, his brother, who allegedly masterminded the tax evasion is facing a whopping 25 years in the slammer!

And don't worry Shore fanatics--Mike has obtained permission to temporarily relocate to Miami in order to participate in the show's reunion, which is currently filming.

We don't know about you, but this story is causing us some seriously mixed emotions.

On the one hand, the fact that The Sitch earned so much money that he thought he'd be able to hide $9 million makes us want to bang our heads into the wall until we stop feeling feelings.

On the other hand, his effort to bilk Uncle Sam proved woefully unsuccessful, which kind of reaffirms our faith in both the justice system and karma.

(Dude was often on colossal d-bag on Shore.)

On the ... third hand (?) Mike has provided us with hours of entertainment over the years, and the thought of dude spending a decade and a half behind bars is undeniably a bummer.

This is real human drama here, folks.

Frankly, we're starting to think MTV should Jersey Shore: Family Vacation on hold so they can start production on an 18-hour docu-drama about the story of the Sitch.

Currently, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi is in Miami, filming Jersey Shore: Family Vacation with her famous frenemies.

We imagine she's enjoying the break from reality almost as much as Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino (who's currently facing 15 years in prison for tax evasion), as Snooki has some serious issues to face when she gets back home.

For several weeks now, reports that Snooki and Jionni LaValle are headed for divorce have been circulating non-stop on social media.

Insiders claim that Snooki and Jionni are living separate lives and have spent much of the past year simply going through the motions of a happy marriage.  

“Snooki and her husband have been having problems in their marriage,” an insider tells Life & Style.

The source adds that Snooki “thinks that Jionni is very controlling and that he doesn’t want her to work. He wants a housewife, not a working mom.”

Snooki hasn't spoken publicly about her alleged marital issues, but Jionni recently let loose in an Instagram tirade that left fans feeling perplexed.

Apparently, LaValle wrote the post while his wife was packing for Miami.

Jionni admitted that he was upset with his wife's decision to leave home for an extended period of time, but he also--somewhat confusingly--claimed that all is well in their marriage. 

"Hey guys, I'm going to visit this subject one time and one time only so....... My wife is filming a scene packing up and leaving for her new show and I AM CHOOSING TO NOT be on TV because I simply DO NOT like it," LaValle wrote.

"You will not see me on her reality show. Being a reality star was never something I wanted to be when I grew up," he added.

"We ARE not divorced. For the HATERS I hope this message finds you and confuses you even more about life and for the FANS of my wife and her show... I got your back!!!"

One insider says the real cause of Jionni's anger is the fact that Snooki made the decision that he should stay home with the kids while she gets paid to party with her friends.

“She sees Jersey Shore as her show, and he came in after it began She doesn’t need or want him with her," says the source.

The fact that Snooki has hooked up with Vinny Guadagnino and also has a complicated history with Sorrentino probably isn't helping Jionni to relax.

No word yet on when Family Vacation will air.

But you can bet Jionni will be watching intently.

We're going to Jersey Shore, bitch!

Just kidding, we're not -- except we kind of are, because the legendary cast of Jersey Shore is returning back to where all that magic happened, and we get to see it right on our television screens.

Or, OK, they're not exactly going back to where all the magic happened.

Instead of returning to the house that was actually on the Jersey shore, they'll be in Miami again.

But still, in a way, we might as well be right there with all of our favorite guidos and guidettes, acting like the hottest messes that ever walked the boardwalk.

And how beautiful is that?

Back in November, we first learned that MTV was bringing back one of the greatest reality shows of all time, and ever since then, we've been anxiously awaiting its return.

Thanks to this new teaser, which finally reveals the premiere date, we now know we don't have to wait too much longer!

OK, so April 5th -- mark your calendars, and be sure to get your GTL in beforehand, because you aren't going to want to miss this.

Just in that quick little video, we see Snooki going to town on a pickle -- just like old times! -- and Pauly D and Vinny rekindling their epic bromance.

Next, there's Snooki humping JWoww, then Ronnie sitting on Vinny's lap, looking absolutely trashed.

Finally we see a shot of the whole gang together before the teaser cuts to a shot of Deena and Snooki standing on the water, where Deena shouts to all who can hear her, "We're your new neighb

Can you imagine?

Next is a teaser with a little more meat to it -- and oh, what exciting meat it is:

Jersey Shore: Angelina's Back!

That's right! Angelina Pivarnick, AKA the Staten Island Dump, is back!

She knocks on the door and waits patiently until The Situation answers it, then greets him not with a hug or even a handshake, but with "You think I'm a dirty little hamster?!"

Iconic.

"Oh sh-t ..." The Situation says, and it really does look like he had no idea she was going to be there at all.

He even asks her "Who sent you?"

She seems friendly enough, at least in this short little clip.

And it's worth noting that she actually has suitcases this time around instead of trash bags.

But we can't imagine that a house with Angelina in it will stay drama-free for long.

Since today is obviously a very blessed day, we have one more precious sneak peek to enjoy:

Jersey Shore: Time for Some Ron Ron Juice!

Remember Ron Ron Juice?!

Of course you do -- how could you possibly forget?

But just in case you did, Ron Ron Juice is a special little drink invented by Ronnie, and as he explains it, it's "the sh-t that gets the night going."

"Whenever that sh-t comes out, it's always a filthy night."

Basically he just cuts up some watermelon slices and some cherries and then throws that stuff in a blender with cranberry juice, vodka, and ice.

Pauly D calls it "the root of all evil," but honestly it does sound pretty delicious.

While the guys are sipping on their juice, The Situation takes a moment to explain some of his life philosophies.

"I wait till the last minute to shave," he explains, "I wait till the last minute to put the shirt on, 'cause then you feel fresh. These are rules to live by."

"Shave last minute, haircut the day of, maybe the tanning and the gym. You gotta do the guido handbook."

If you've ever watched a single episode of Jersey Shore then you know all this, but still, it's comforting to hear all this laid out fresh, isn't it?

Ever since that first teaser trailer for Jersey Shore: Family Vacation dropped, the world has wondered what this over-the-top reunion is going to be like. 

But we don't have to wait for the April 5th premiere date to find out what's in store for these orange hooligans.

A new trailer is out that reveals a lot more, and you can see that below.

Snooki exclaims "We're back, bitches!" in a drawn out way.

It's almost as though they had never left.

But they did leave -- a lot of the stars are parents. They talk up their age a lot, Snooki herself is 30. They're at different stages in their lives, but they're hardly geriatric.

And from the antics in this trailer, in which they drink and drink and drink in South Beach, they aim to prove that they haven't slowed down one bit since they were first horrifying audiences.

Jersey Shore was a reality series that some hailed as deceptively brilliant social commentary and others believed heralded the collapse of society.

But ... maybe it was never that deep. Maybe it was just a bunch of idiots living their lives on camera, you know?

It looks like, in some ways, this revival is going to be more of the same.

But things have changed dramatically for so many of these stars.

As we mentioned, some of them are parents, now. They have actual responsibilities.

So while this revival will allow them to "go wild" as they haven't for years, as Jenni "JWOWW" Farley notes, it's likely that they're going to take better care of themselves than they did when they were young.

After all, they'll be going back to their lives as parents after the cameras shut off. The responsibilities of being a parent continue even when you're not with your kids.

Speaking of children, there's one guy who expressed shock, nervousness, and excitement during the trailer because of his own impending fatherhood.

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro makes it very clear in this trailer that can't believe that he's going to be a dad.

As you may recall, he didn't find the love of his life on Jersey Shore, but he did in real life.

And now, as you can see from the baby bump in that photo, his girlfriend Jen Harley is very much pregnant.

Of course, not everyone's major life transitions are positive ones.

(Yes, having children is a positive life change if you want children)

No, Snooki teases in the trailer that someone is going to be behind bars.

"Dude," Snooki says at one point. "Prison is no joke. It's scary."

She then follows up with a more ominous statement.

"He's literally not going to survive."

Smart money says that the guy headed for prison is Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino since he pleaded guilty to tax fraud.

We don't think that fans need to be picking out an outfit to wear to his presumably public funeral, however.

He's going to prison for tax fraud, which is bad, but not a violent crime. He'll probably have an unpleasant time in prison, because prison is zero fun, but not all prisons are created equally, and he's likely to be placed with other non-violent offenders.

But ... yeah, it's going to suck.

Also, these folks drink a lot ... and talk about drinking a lot.

They comment on who smells like alcohol, and they're clearly going out to have a good time -- fist-pumping, of course, included.

One might wonder how much of this is staged. How many drinks are watered down. How many explosions of wild excitement were the results of multiple takes and specific instructions from producers.

But it looks like Jersey Shore: Family Vacation is shaping up to be just as wild of a ride as the original series.

Plus, they're in Florida.

By now, we've all seen the insane new Jersey Shore: Family Vacation trailer.

But how exactly did that come to be?

As it turns out, it's because the cast went to the network and begged for them to make it happen.

in an interview with The New York Times, Nicole Polizzi, known to fans and to the rest of the world as Snooki, revealed what it took to make Jersey Shore: Family Vacation a reality.

"We basically were begging MTV to bring us back," she admits.

It sounds like she and her castmates had to do a lot of persuading to make this happen.

"We were begging everyone to bring us back."

A number of cast members had appeared on an informal reunion, hosted by E! a few years back.

But it wasn't the same.

And some of them felt almost adulterous for appearing off of MTV, the network that made them famous on the original Jersey Shore.

Jersey Shore was far from the last place where fans and viewers saw their favorite orange, beach-adjacent hooligans. They've all made sure to appear in the public eye.

Pauly D and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro both appeared on E!'s Famously Single.

Deena Cortese showed up on Couples Therapy on VH1.

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino showed up on the Food Network, of all places. But the show was called Worst Cooks in America.

Snooki was a contestant on The New Celebrity Apprentice, which was hosted by Arnold Schwarzenegger and didn't last very long, as Trump fans weren't going to watch without Trump and those who hate Trump weren't going to watch a show on which he was still a producer.

Snooki also made a scripted appearance television appearance on the CW series, Supernatural, as a crossroads demon, though it was several seasons after the series had jumped the shark.

Then, of course, there was Snooki & Jwoww, which actually ran for a few years. That was on MTV.

MTV also experimented with giving Vinny Guadagnino his own series, The Show With Vinny. That one ... did not last a few years.

There was more to making Jersey Shore: Family Vacation happen than the original cast members asking for it, of course.

The time seemed right, for a few reasons.

Though many of the cast members are still relatively young, they're all in different stages of their lives at the moment.

And a lot of people will be interested to see if their version of partying hard has changed now that so many of them are parents.

More significantly, from the network's point of view, is that it looks like viewers are up for seeing some absolute disasters drinking and partying on television.

Apparently the success of Floribama Shore was a factor in deciding to give Jersey Shore: Family Vacation the go-ahead.

In fact, apparently the existence of Floribama Shore generated demand to see where the original Jersey Shore crew is now.

Snooki shares that her husband was very encouraging when it came to whether or not she should film this television event.

"He was like, ‘Go, babe, have fun,’" she reveals. "‘Make that money. Enjoy yourself.’"

She did admit that she did have to talk herself into it.

"I had to keep telling myself, yes, you miss the kids, but you can be a bad mom for a little bit."

We don't really think that this qualifies as being a bad mother. Maybe if her child were with her to witness all of the shenanigans, sure.

And she set out to party.

"Go drink. Go blackout. Do what you’ve got to do."

For the record, it's totally possible to drink and party and even get wildly drunk without blacking out. Just ... putting that out there.

Since The Situation is headed for prison, this special will sort of be one last hurrah for him. For a while, anyway.

But this will give fans a renewed taste of their old favorites.

MTV is a network that focuses primarily on a teenage audience, but they've made it clear that Jersey Shore: Family Vacation is for returning fans, too.

It's certainly going to be one wild adventure, and it premieres on April 5th.

We've all seen the insane trailer for Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, and this reunion looks like it's going to be bonkers.

But while most of the cast was begging MTV to make this happen, Sammi Sweetheart isn't even going to show up.

Why?

Sammi Giancola took to Instagram to explain her reasoning.

"I have chosen not to join the show this season because I am at a completely different place in my life right now focusing on my businesses and relationship."

Her statement continues to emphasize that, like many of her castmates, she is in a different stage of her life than she was when she first attained stardom.

"I am not the same person as I was when I was 22. At 31."

And she says something cryptic that many fans found to be alarming.

"I am currently extremely happy in every aspect of my life and want to avoid potentially TOXIC SITUATIONS."

Whoa!

But, despite dropping the word "toxic," it sounds like she's not trying to bash anyone.

"However, it was a difficult decision as I love my roomies."

She announces what she'll be doing instead of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.

"I've decided to focus on me, my future and what truly makes me happy."

And she makes it clear that she holds no ill will.

"I will forever be grateful to 'Jersey Shore' and everything it has brought to me!"

We have to wonder if the "toxic" situation to which she referred was the party atmosphere or reality television itself, not the people.

She explains why she's left reality stardom behind.

"I've just decided to live my life for me these days."

And she gives a big shoutout to everyone who's been part of her life.

"Also I am forever grateful & thankful for all of you!!!"

She singles out her fans in particular.

"Special shoutout to my fans, but I'm not going anywhere! Follow me and stay tuned, you never know what I could be up to NEXT!"

After posting that, Sammi wrote in the captions:

"I love you guys! Thank you all so much for your DMs, comments, messages & kind words."

She says that they really do mean a lot to her.

"I read them all and am forever grateful and thankful for you guys!!"

And she got support in the comments from none other than JWoww's husband, Roger Matthews, who wrote:

"Lots of respect for this as I said to you. Minus the money I see absolutely zero benefits to participating. You look happy and at peace. Stay blessed."

Matthews did clear up that he wasn't condemning his wife or anyone else:

"Different circumstances for different households. My wife is a grown adult and can make her own choices. Very proud of the businesswoman and mother my wife has become."

He sounds like a very supportive husband.

"I would never tell my wife what she can and can't do. Free will should always prevail. I wasn't aware of what the show would be."

In his mind, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation was going to be something very different.

"I thought the powers that be might want to show a new side to them. A mature side with [families] and children."

That is adorably naive.

"I was wrong but to be clear I love my wife very much. Drama sells. I get it. Just not my thing anymore."

It sounds like Sammi's former castmates aren't really clear on why she decided to opt out.

But Pauly D tellsTooFab his theory:

"She must be rich! Maybe she doesn't need the money. I'm trying to think about it, like, maybe she's rich? I don't know. We wanted everybody to do it."

Honestly, most people would assume that anyone who would turn up their nose at a reality TV gig must be wealthy enough that they just don't need money.

So remember how Jersey Shore alum Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and girlfriend Jen Harley are expecting their first child?

Well, congratulations are in order.

On Tuesday, April 3, the couple welcomed the birth of their first child.

E! was the first to report that Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is now a father.

A source told them that Ronnie is "over the moon" over the birth of his baby girl.

This is wonderful news and marks the beginning of the next chapter of Ronnie and Jen's lives.

The two of them haven't yet made an official announcement, but it seems inevitable.

And it's not like they've been especially subtle about the news. ...

First of all, you know how Jersey Shore: Family Vacation is premiering on Thursday?

Ronnie "mysteriously" skipped the premiere event.

Fans who ere mystified by his absence didn't have long to wonder about what could possibly 

On Monday night, Jen shared some messages with her fans and followers via Instagram stories.

"Ron lands at seven so we have five hours," she shared, while supported by her close friends.

"I'm feeling very very uncomfortable."

It's so sweet that she was so worried about Ronnie getting to be there for the childbirth.

And it's precious, but no surprise, that Ronnie dropped everything -- including professional commitments -- to race home to welcome his baby girl into the world.

In addition to these not-so-subtle clues and E!'s announcement, MTV has confirmed to Us Weekly that the couple's baby was born on Tuesday.

There's no telling when photos will be forthcoming, but for now, we hope that they're all bonding and resting.

Especially Jen. She's the one who did the most work, obviously.

Ronnie recently finished filming Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, a surprising but exciting revival of the classic reality series.

In fact, Jen even appears alongside him in part of the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation teaser trailer.

He joins other past and present costars like Snooki, Pauly D, and JWoww in becoming a parent.

In fact, he's even turned to each of them for advice, and shared that he's really benefiting from that, because they each had different experiences.

Of course, Farley warned him, reminding him that he had broken the hearts of many young woman during his wild youth.

She says that it's appropriate and fitting that he'll raise a daughter while worrying about which men might break her heart.

Since the cast was begging MTV to bring back Jersey Shore, ultimately leading to this revival, it's pretty important to them.

(Admittedly, for most of them, it's probably the money that matters. But that's okay -- filming a reality series is work, and almost no one works for free)

But it's clear that Ronnie has his priorities in the right place, because he raced back to be with his wife while she gave birth to their child.

Seriously, congratulations to Jen Harley and to Ronnie Ortiz-Magro on the birth of their daughter.

Jersey Shore Family Vacation made its long-awaited debut on MTV last night, and the consensus among viewers seems to be that while the guidos and guidettes didn't quite deliver the same bonkers energy and smush-room shenanigans of their initial run, it was nice to check in with TV's most heavily spray-tanned cast.

Of course, not everyone was able to make it to South Beach to enjoy all the fist-pumping and facial fillers.

Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola was sadly absent from the reunion for reasons that weren't made entirely clear in last night's episode.

(In a recent Instagram post, Sammi explained that she's in a "completely different place" in her life these days, and she wants to avoid potentially "TOXIC SITUATIONS," which most interpreted as a jab at her ex, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro.)

But that doesn't mean Sammi was forgotten.

No, the cast paid tribute to Giancola with a sex doll forged in her image.

The disturbing doppelganger even sported a t-shirt reading "I’m in a really good place right now” and spouted pre-recorded snippets of dialogue, most notably, "Roooon, stahhhhp!"

And with that appropriately tawdry blast from the past (and the help of a few dozen liters of wine) the initial awkwardness of reuniting comes to an end and the cast is officially ready to make Miami a much greasier place.

Of course, a lot has changed since the guidos parted ways in Seaside Heights way back in 2011.

Snooki, JWoww and Pauly D all have kids now. Ronnie's girlfriend is seven months pregnant. Vinny is so committed to his keto diet he won't even dog a slice of pizza while thoroughly hammered.

And of course, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino might soon be imprisoned for tax evasion.

Sorrentino's legal entanglements very nearly prevented him from making the trip, but when he did finally meet up with his former roommates, we learned that he's matured into a very different Sitch.

The Situation is sober and in a relationship now, which should put him in a prime position to be incredibly bored and mildly irritated for the remainder of the season.

Of course, these days, Mike is actually well-liked by the rest of the cast (with the apparent exception of Ronnie), which means he'll likely receive plenty of support from people who want to make sure he stays on the wagon and out of prison.

Frankly, we have mixed feelings about Sorrentino's current ... situation.

Yes, it's nice that he's grown into a better person, but will a sober, non-confrontational Sitch bring much to the table in terms of entertainment value?

And we won't even get into the ethical questions about tossing a recently-convicted felon and a recovering addict into a lion's den of temptation.

The premiere episode concluded with blackouts of both the electrical and drunken variety, as well as the decision to toss Sex Doll Sammi into the pool.

This led to Snooki losing her wedding rings, which in turn, led her to drunkenly arriving at the decision to go home.

Obviously, she's not really gonna leave, and considering her earnings have been in the seven-figure range for nearly a decade now, it's hard to get too concerned about her lost diamonds.

Ultimately, the final scene served to remind us that while Family Vacation may be entertaining at times, the cast will never be able to recapture the lightning in a bottle that was their first run on MTV.

While episodes used to conclude with barroom brawls, now we have concocted drama over lost jewelry.

All-in-all, it was a step up from the abysmally lame Jersey Shore reunion special that aired last year, but these guidos will need to step their game up if they want to continue leading fans into the smush room.

Gym, Tan, Laundry?

Maybe that was all the cast of Jersey Shore talked about its first time around.

But a lot has changed over the years, and these MTV stars got far deeper than we ever imagined was possible on Thursday night's installment of their rebooted series.

Specifically, Jenni “JWoww” Farley and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino opened up on this episode about Jersey Shore Season 4, which was filmed in Italy.

It aired throughout the summer and fall of 2011 -- and Farley admits now that she was in no shape at all to be having her life filmed at all times by cable network cameras back then.

And why not?

Because she had very recently suffered a miscarriage.

"Three to four weeks before Italy, my grandmother passed and me and Roger [Mathews] actually lost a baby … not a lot of people know,” the 32-year old said on air last night.

She went on to detail the effect that such a trauma had on her psyche.

 “They put me on medication because of it because I couldn’t handle life," Jenni said, expounding as follows:

"The medication – it was like Xanax, it would take me down. The downers would make me so groggy, then I would start taking uppers. I segued right into Italy.

"I was a f-cking mess."

Man. We're so very sorry to hear that.

Few life events are as devastating as a miscarriage.

Farley and husband Mathews eventually welcomed their first child, a daughter named Meilani Alexandra, in 2014.

Two years later, they welcomed a son named Greyson Valor.

Prior to Meilani entering the world, however, Farley wrote candidly on her blog that she actually thought she had suffered a miscarriage for a second time.

(The first miscarriage was unknown to the public at the time.)

"I went to the bathroom, I saw blood and panicked," wrote Farley in early 2014, adding:

"So many thoughts were running through my head. I felt a loss like no other when I thought that I was no longer pregnant.

"I whispered it to Roger and for that whole ride we just stared straight ahead and didn’t say a word. I went to bed that night in Nashville praying it was just a thing that happens."

Thankfully, she was right.

Everything was okay this time around.

Jersey Shore: Family Vacation premiered last Thursday evening, giving fans an update on what Jenni, Mike and others in their crew have been up to.

In many ways, things are the same:

There's still plenty of drinking, partying and arguing taking place.

In other ways, however, nothing is the same, most notably because there are now actual kids in the picture... kids that belong to these reality stars!

Who would have thought?!?

We're glad to hear that she has recovered from this tragedy and we think her two kids are SO cute!

So, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation is happening, and it's just as insane as the trailers made it look. The ratings are doing well, and they've already been renewed for another season.

But Sammi Sweetheart didn't return to the show's revival series.

Finally, that conspicuous absence has been fully explained by the cast, as you can see in the video below.

The clip below begins with Ronnie asserting that the other women of Jersey Shore didn't really know Sammi that well when he was dating her.

"When me and her dated, she never talked to you."

Deena disagrees, saying: "She talked to me."

"Not really," Ronnie argues. "Not really. Not the way she talks to you now. She talks to you after we broke up."

Which prompts Deena to spill everything that's going on.

It was Ronnie, she says, that really scared Sammi away from participating in this revival.

"Ron," Deena says. "Needs to stop talking about Sam and, like, move the f--k on."

And she continues.

"Sam told me that he used to call her on blocked numbers and used to, like, be really weird."

That is alarming behavior.

"She was afraid that she was going to get into the house and he would get drunk and spiral."

Sammi allegedly had a very specific concern about an intoxicated Ronnie might do.

"And try to get back with her or something."

This matches what Snooki told Larry King.

"Sam decided not to do it," she told him in a recent interview.

At first, she tried to keep things vague.

"Basically," Snooki says of Sammi. "She was over the whole reality scene."

But she quickly becomes more specific.

"She didn't want to be in a toxic relationship with Ron anymore. Which we totally get."

When Sammi spoke for herself on social media, she used much vaguer terms to describe what she was avoiding.

"I am currently extremely happy in every aspect of my life and want to avoid potentially toxic situations."

Yeah, an ex who can't seem to get the message and will be drinking ... that sounds pretty toxic.

"I've just decided to live my life for me these days."

At the time, this could have had a number of meanings.

But in light of what we've heard, it seems clear that she was referring to wanting to avoid Ronnie.

This is ... alarming. Not surprising -- we all saw what Ronnie was like with Sammi on camera.

But if a woman is afraid to return to a reality series because of a man ... should she be the one who doesn't make it on camera?

Someone doesn't have to fear for their physical safety for the other person to be the wrongdoer, right?

We'd hoped for more from Ronnie Ortiz-Magro.

Earlier this month, Ronnie and his girlfriend welcomed their baby girl.

But if that relationship wasn't enough to assure Sammi that he'd leave her alone, we absolutely do not blame her.

If you look at the way that he speaks so defensively in this video, you can't help but wonder if Sammi was right to avoid him.

Back in 2009, Jersey Shore became TV's ultimate guilty pleasure thanks in large part to the willingness of its twenty-something castmates to put their various organs in harm's way for our amusement (livers, genitals, irradiated leathery skin).

But will the schtick play as well now that they're in their thirties and most of them have kids?

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro aims to find out!

If you watched last week's episode of Jersey Shore Family Vacation, you know that Ronnie made the questionable decision to take a braless Swedish blonde into the bathroom with him, despite the fact that he has a pregnant girlfriend waiting at home.

(Sadly, his roommates admonitions of "Raaahn, staaahp!" fell on deaf ears.)

Pauly D pulled a move that once would've been known as an attempted robbery, but now looks something more like an act of mercy.

Ron and the Swede put on the brakes, but they were already well past the point at which his girlfriend would've been cool with that transpired.

To his credit, Ron was overcome with guilt, so he dragged his drunk ass to bed and resolved to make things right in the morning.

Just kidding, he stayed up and continued to guzzle Ron-Ron juice with Snooki until it seemed like a good idea to drag their daytime drunk asses out in public.

Ron proceeded to make things even worse by 

“I don’t trust her for shit. I don’t,” he revealed. “So all I can do is act happy and be the best father I can be, and at the end of the day, I’m still f-cking miserable.”

Ronnie adds, “If Jen was not pregnant, I don’t know if I’d be with her,” apparently forgetting in his inebriated state that there's a camera crew documenting his every word,

(He later jokes about "canceling cable" before the episode airs, a rare occasion in which a reality star actually acknowledges the fact that they're on a reality show.)

In one of the series' most darkly hilarious moments to date, Snooki drunkenly accosts some children, while Ronnie, instead of stopping her from traumatizing the poor kids reflects on impending fatherhood.

At that point, he and Snooks finally decide to remove their balloon crowns and go to bed.

Unfortunately, a few hours later, they're forced to wake up and answer the question: do hangovers and yachts mix?

The answer of course, is hell no, but the two of them fare surprisingly well, considering earlier in the say, they were pounding giant fishbowl cocktails in theme restaurants as the breakfast crowd made way for the lunch crowd.

Ronnie's plight worsens as the afternoon wears on, when his girlfriend refuses to answer his phone calls.

He lets out some aggression by taking a few shots at Mike "The Incarceration" Sorrentino, but for the most part, the rest of the cast sits this episode out.

The strange pacing is a testament to the fact that the guidos' lives are simply less eventful these days, and as a result, producers are often forced to expand on a single storyline until it fills 60 minutes of screen time.

That's not necessarily a knock on Family Vacation, so much as it is an acknowledgment that it's a very different show than the original Jersey Shore.

The good news (we think?) is that Ronnie and Jen welcomed their first child and they're still very much together.

Hopefully, going forward, he'll take his family vacations with his actual family.

If you've been watching Jersey Shore Family Vacation, you may have found that you barely recognize the closest thing the show had to a villain in its initial iteration.

We're talking, of course, about Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino.

When the guidos and guidettes first descended upon Seaside Heights, New Jersey back in 2009, the Sitch represented the very worst of what they had to offer.

A creature of pure ego and appetite, Sorrentino provided a lot of ammo for critics of the show's perceived negative impact on our culture.

While his roommates certainly liked to drink, party and hookup, Mike took all of those behaviors to their most harmful extremes by being disrespectful toward women and descending into addiction.

These days Sorrentino is facing jail time for tax evasion, but the silver lining to his - ahem - situation is that 

Mike is now two years sober, and as we learned following last night's episode of Shore, he recently got engaged to longtime girlfriend Lauren Pesce.

The 35-year-old posted the above photo to his Instagram page Thursday night, along with a caption reading (of course):

“GYM TAN WE’RE ENGAGED!!” 

Say what you will about the man, he's certainly not letting go of those catchphrases.

It's obviously an exciting time for Mike and Lauren, but there are some dark clouds looming on the horizon.

Sorrentino has yet to be sentenced for allegedly failing to pay taxes on millions in earnings.

Which means, of course, that he and Lauren might have to either push their big day back a couple years, or begin their time as husband and wife in two very different living situations.

Whatever happens, fans are obviously very happy for Mike and in perhaps the most testament to the fact that the man really has changed, is roommates are thrilled for the Sitch as well.

Jenni "JWoww" Farley, who's been Mike's most frequent companion on JSFV, has described him as a changed man "and the best version of himself."

Welp, that sure was ugly.

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and girlfriend Jen Harley welcomed a baby girl into the world earlier this month.

But the couple engaged in a vicious fight over the weekend via Twitter that was decidedly NOT welcomed by anyone hoping these two would make stable co-parents.

The 32-year old Jersey Shore veteran got things started on Saturday when he took to his Instagram Story and lashed out at Harley.

In extremely cruel fashion.

“Note to self, can’t turn a natural born HOE, into a HOUSEWIFE, if you find them in the gutter then leave them in the gutter," he actually wrote about the mother of his daughter, adding:

"Not all people can be saved when they are so far gone. All you can say you did ur best and keep it moving."

Yikes and WTF, right?

Ronnie added the hashtags #Facts and #YeahhhhhhBuddyyyy to his angry post.

In a follow-up post/poll, Ronnie articulated exactly why he was taking issue with Harley.

He asked followers to vote “yes” or “no” to the following question:

“If your significant other keeps sex videos of their ex, shouldn’t they show enough respect to delete them, esp after being in a new relationship for over a year?"

Please, "#GiveMeYourThoughts," Ronnie asked.

So there it is; there's the problem at stake.

Ronnie apparently discovered at least one sex tape Harley made with an ex-boyfriend, which, we must admit, has to be awkward.

As awkward as airing one's dirty laundry in public in this manner?

We guess not, based on Ronnie's actions and logic.

Ortiz-Magro then shared an image of his head Photoshopped into a poster for Dwayne Johnson‘s movie Rampage, which he changed to read “Ronpage."

Moreover, the reality star posted a text exchange with Deena Nicole Cortese in which she took his side in this argument.

Wow that’s insane,” Cortese wrote. “What girl even keeps that lol.”

It's a fair question, we guess.

But Harley chose not to answer it on Instagram.

Instead, she shot back in her own story by writing: “Can’t turn a coke head into a father! Yeahhh buddy."

Oh gosh.

This may get worse before it gets better, huh?

Ronnie and Jen got together in July of 2017.

They actually shared videos of each other drinking and partying on Saturday before these insults flew, making it apparent they weren't sober when they decided to go public with their disagreement.

“So excited to be a #Father. Words can’t describe the feeling,” Ortiz-Magro wrote about becoming a dad less than a month ago.

He added at the time:

“You live your life not ever really knowing the meaning of true love until you have a child. True unconditional love. You love your significant other, you love your family.

"I have to say I understand when everyone said you’ll understand ‘when you have a child of your own or when you become a parent.’

"I know I have still tons to learn but I’m excited for this new journey & chapter in my life with my beautiful girlfriend & my daughter."

What a nice sentiment.

Perhaps Ronnie ought to think of his daughter the next time he calls her mom a "hoe" in front  of the entire Internet.

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Jen Harley are intent on making Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna look like the most stable couple in the history of Hollywood.

First, as previously reported in vicious detail, the Jersey Shore star and the mother of his only child went at it over the weekend on Instagram.

HARD.

Ortiz-Magro slammed Harley - who, it bears repeating, gave birth to their daughter THIS MONTH! - as a "hoe" because she still has in her possession a sex tape she made with an ex-boyfriend.

Harley replied by referring to Ronnie as a "cokehead."

And we responded by thinking the same thing over and over and over:

That poor, poor little girl.

Now, several hours after the couple's social media argument went viral, Ortiz-Magro has apologized for the mess he'd made of his relationship.

Sort of.

Initially, that is.

“I want to apologize for earlier to my fans, and especially @tater_to_kitty I acted on my gut and not rationally,” Ronnie wrote on his Instagram Story this morning.

Sweet, right?

Especially since he also added: “I should’ve never acted in such a manor. My deepest apologies.”

However (and this is a very big HOWEVER), the 32-year-old later deleted this message and posted a screenshot of a text message conversation between him and one of his friends from months ago.

In this exchange, the friend claims that Harley cheated on Ronnie (when she as pregnant, we presume) and he knows this for a fact because...

... he's the dude with whom she cheated!

This acquaintance tells Ronnie:

"After she went to the pool the other day and she wouldn’t answer your calls we were f-cking on the taco float in the back yard, look at her pics on her phone."

He continues:

"She took a bunch, that’s why she didn’t answer. She was showing me your text, asking what’s wrong cuz she called you 5 times earlier.

"How would I know all that?”

This conversation reportedly took place on June 23.

And, as you can see above, this is what the cheating friend told Ronnie:

“Have fun with the worthless cum dumpster that we talked about, have her back. I’m literally done, no reason in the world she deserves anyone like me or you."

There's also a photo included of Harley with a man, whose face is blurred out.

Over the picture, Ortiz-Magro tagged Harley and wrote “#ButI’mTheCheater.”

Well... okay then, we guess!

We can understand why Ronnie took back his Mea Culpa.

Lest you think Ronnie got the final word with this accusation, though, we're here to tell you that he did not.

Harley used her Instagram Story to fire back at Ronnie and shade him for abandoning his newborn and his baby mama so that he could pursue both poontang and reality TV fame. 

“He wants to act fake on the show and like I’m some random he knocked up lol he was trying to get me pregnant,” she claimed.

“And then cheats on me while I’m preg on TV and then leaves me with a newborn baby lol baby daddy of the year award goes to @realronniemagro."

Harley and Ronnie are parents to a girl named Ariana Sky.

Jen was seven months pregnant while Ron went to film Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.

During last week’s installment, he told his roommates he wasn’t sure he wanted to be with Harley and seemingly cheated on her after bringing home another girl.

The MTV personality made very public and very shameful headlines this week when he split from girlfriend Jen Harley.

But a mere mention of their break-up scarcely tells this ugly story.

Over the course of a few days, Ronnie and Jen went back and forth on social media in one of the most vicious viral fights we can recall.

It started when Ronnie claimed Harley still had a sex with her ex-boyfriend in her possession; an unusual decision to be sure, but one that deserved her being referred to as a "hoe" by Magro?

We're not so sure.

Harley fired back that Ronnie was a "coke head."

The feud continued with Ronnie alleging Harley cheated on him with a friend last summer, "taking it in the ass" from him on a "taco float."

From there, it actually got worse...

In that video above, Ronnie almost comes to actual physical blows with Harley.

And, in response to being dragged all over the Internet by her baby daddy (yes, her baby daddy; the pair welcomed a daughter just ONE MONTH AGO), Harley claimed Ronnie had cheated on her and basically ditched his kid.

This claim seems pretty valid, too, considering Jersey Shore viewers basically witnessed Ronnie's infidelity on last Thursday's episode of the MTV series.

Multiple insiders have confirmed that Ronnie and Harley are no longer together, which is likely for the best.

Hopefully, they can find a way to at least be civil while they co-parent their little girl.

And hopefully, in Ronnie's mind, he can use his new single status to woo ex-girlfriend Giancola.

“Ronnie still loves Sam,” a source tells Us Weekly. “Everyone knows it.”

This is not altogether stunning.

Magro made it clear in a conversation with Snooki last week that he didn't see himself exchanging any vows with Harley.

“I thought you were in love. So she’s not the one, then?” Snooki asked him.

“Probably not, right?” Ronnie replied. “I had waited so long not to have kids so that I am married, in a happy relationship, not to just have a baby mama.”

“Why can’t you marry this b—ch?” Snooki said, adding:

"'Cause you f—king love Sam.”

And there it is.

Ortiz-Magri and Giancola met on the MTV reality program and were in an on and off relationship from 2009 to 2017.

What happened? Why did they break up?

“I got cold feet," Ronnie said on the Jersey Shore: Vacation premiere, saying Sammi made it clear she wanted to get married.

"I wanted to do the right thing, but there was a part of me that was like, ‘I’m not going to do the right thing,'" he continued.

"So I didn’t do it. I ended up cheating, she found out. I blew it. It’s over."

And now? Sammi has a new boyfriend and has chosen not to appear on the resurrected version of Jersey Shore.

“Ron needs to stop talking about Sam and move the f-ck on,” Denna Cortese said in a confessional in the April 19 episode of the reboot.

She concluded of her pal:

“Sam told me that he used to call her on blocked numbers, and used to like, be really weird.

"She was afraid she was gonna get in the house and he would get drunk and spiral and try and get back with her or something.”

Sounds like she knows Ronnie well.

Jen Harley is tired of having her name dragged through the Internet mud.

Granted, you probably had never even heard the name Jen Harley until a few days ago.

But still.

By now, any regular reader of The Hollywood Gossip is likely familiar with what transpired this week between Harley and Jersey Shore Ronnie Ortiz-Magro.

The latter absolutely WENT OFF on his estranged girlfriend and baby mama over the weekend after learning she still had in her possession a sex tape with an ex-boyfriend.

Ronnie took exception to this.

He called Harley a "hoe" and asked his Instagram followers how they'd react to her actions and then apologized...

... except he quickly took that apology back and went after Harley even harder.

In a stream of text messages, Ronnie shared on social media (below), he accused Harley of cheating on him with a friend (who referred to her as a "cum dumpster") last summer by banging him on a taco float in a pool.

(For real. This is the allegation.)

It's not as though Harley remained silent in the face of these damning accusations.

(She didn't deny the cheating claim, either, it's probably worth noting.)

She fired back at Ronnie, initially referring to him as a "coke head" and then saying the following, referencing a recent episode of Jersey Shore, in which Ortiz-Magro brought home a woman from the bar.

He wants to act fake on the show and like I’m some random he knocked up lol he was trying to get me pregnant.

And then cheats on me while I’m preg on TV and then leaves me with a newborn baby lol baby daddy of the year award goes to @realronniemagro.

This message, of course, did not put an end to the drama.

It actually got a lot worse.

Shortly after the above post went live, Harley and Ortiz-Magro appeared to engage in a physical fight during an Instagram Live session on Monday.

“Put your f–king hands on me again,” the reality star yelled. “I dare you!”

Ronnie Magro Gets Into Altercation with Jen Harley

So that all brings us to Harley's latest.

After making her Instagram account private for a day or two, Harley returned to the social media scene this afternoon and wrote the following:

“My heart hurts."

She included a sad face emoji with these three words.

Harley and Ronnie actually welcomed a baby girl into the world just a month ago.

Her name is Ariana and we feel terrible for her.

Let's hope she never learns how to use Google and let's also hope her parents find some way to make peace. For her sake, at the very least.

"This is a private matter that should have never been made public,” Ronnie said yesterday. “I remain focused on my daughter and she is my No. 1 priority.”

The cast of Jersey Shore is a family, we get that.

So it should really come as little surprise that these MTV stars are basically on Team Ronnie Ortiz-Magro when it comes to their friend's ongoing beef with baby mama Jen Harley.

But it was still unfortunate to see Pauly D, Snooki and company essentially stand up for Ronnie in the wake of his explosive and very public fight with Harley this week.

We make such a statement following the appearance of these Jersey Shore stalwarts on The View this week.

"I have to bring up the elephant in the room that Ronnie is not here," Meghan McCain said during her interview with the show's leading men and ladies on Wedneday.

"I'm a big fan of his, he's been very provocative this season," he host continued, adding:

"He's at home with his newborn baby girl, but he made headlines this past few days because he's been publicly fighting with his girlfriend. Obviously you guys are close, how do you feel about this?"

(Editor's Note: Can we stop for a moment and acknowledge how crazy and hilarious it is that Meghan McCain is asking questions about Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, while stating how she's a "big fan of his?")

For those not in the know, Ronnie and Harley, who welcomed a daughter into the world just a month ago, went at it over Instagram last weekend.

They exchanged vicious insults over allegations of sex tape filming and infidelity, with words being tossed back and forth such as "hoe," "cokehead" and "cum dumpster."

It was pretty embarrassing and ridiculous for all involved.

Get caught up here:

"So Ronnie, um...out of respect for him and his family, he's not here, so we don't wanna speak on his behalf," Pauly D replied on behalf of the cast, adding:

"We are one big family, so we love and support each other and everything it is that we do."

This is the answer we'd expect him to give.

But considering there's even footage of Ronnie threatening to beat up Harley, perhaps his friends need to show some tough love and suggest the muscular reality star seek professional help of some kind.

"I want to apologize to my family, friends, and fans," Ronnie has said of his action.

"This is a private matter that should have never been made public. I remain focused on my daughter and she is my number one priority."

Hasn't it been so fun having Jersey Shore back on our televisions?

Well, fun, depressing, mortifying ... but still, it's just like old times!

We've seen those beloved guidos and guidettes get wasted, make terrible decisions -- seriously, it's like they never left.

But even though it's been very entertaining, there's still been one very big thing missing, and that, of course, is the presence of Sammi Sweetheart.

She's explained at length why she made the decision not to return to the Shore, saying that she's "at a completely different place in my life right now focusing on my businesses and relationship."

She also said that she's "not the same person as I was when I was 22," and that she wanted "to avoid potentially TOXIC SITUATIONS."

After seeing last week's episode, we know she was definitely smart to avoid this mess -- more on that in a moment.

But still, it's hard not to have the whole gang together.

However, in a new interview that the current Jersey Shore crew did, it sounds like there's a chance Sammi may make an appearance in the second season of Family Vacation!

When asked if she'd be coming back, Vinny said that "there's always a chance," but Pauly D took it a step further, saying "I can almost bet on that."

He explained his answer, saying that after seeing all the buzz around the new show "she must want to do it, I gotta say. She must have to want to do the second one."

JWoww agreed with him, because "for the simple fact that she will always be a part of us and she'll always be mentioned or brought up, at least capitalize on it, speak your own truth."

"Come in," she continued, "fight us and whatever, or love us, or like be around us. It's kind of sh-tty that she's not taking the opportunity."

Everyone was nodding while she was saying all of this, so it seemed like everyone agreed that she should and probably will come back -- everyone but Deena.

She said that she doesn't know that Sammi will come back because they tried to talk her into it when they got the show, but "she's just not into it anymore."

While it would be great to see good ol' Sammi Sweetheart back on Jersey Shore, we have to say that, given what's been developing recently, she absolutely made the right call.

And we're with Deena -- it would be really surprising if she did decide to come back for the next season.

As we've seen on the show, Ronnie, Sammi's ex and, let's be real, the main reason she's not interested in filming anything, is still an absolute mess these days.

We saw him cheat on his then-pregnant girlfriend, and we saw him admit that he still has feelings for Sammi.

In a confessional, Deena revealed that he talks about her all the time, and that "Sam told me that he used to call her on blocked numbers, and used to like, be really weird."

She even said that "she was afraid she was gonna get in the house and he would get drunk and spiral and try and get back with her or something."

And besides everything we've seen on the show, he's been having a pretty public meltdown recently, what with his Instagram fights with the mother of his newborn daughter and all that.

If the Ronnie of today feels comfortable threatening to beat his baby mama in an Instagram video, then Sammi is smart to stay far, far away.

Rahn, stahp!

Those are the words that viewers might find themselves shouting at their screens throughout the study in arrested development that is Jersey Shore Family Vacation.

Several members of the guido squadron have matured in surprising and satisfying ways, but as Pauly D so eloquently observed, Ronnie-Ortiz Magro remains the president for life of the IFF (the esteemed I'm F--ked Foundation).

This week's episode saw Ronnie making a brave and foolish gambit by sticking to his "deny everything" credo.

(To his credit, we suppose it takes balls to go on TV and admit that the guiding motto of your life is "lie all the time.")

Just last month, Ronnie welcomed his first child, but at the time JSFV was filmed, his then-girlfriend, Jen Harley, was pregnant with Magro's baby.

Needless to say, really adds an additional layer of awfulness to his decision to cheat on Jen with a European club-goer who was unfortunately dubbed "French Fry" by Ron's roommates.

But did Ron really cheat - or did he just take flirting several steps too far?

We may never know for sure thanks to that damn "automatic door-closer" (Ron's lies have been more amusing than Pauly's catchphrases this season, which is really saying something.), but frankly, it doesn't look good.

"She’s building it all up in her head from [videos] of me twirling a girl," Ron opined after bizarrely ratting himself out in a conversation with Jen.

"It’s not like the girl was grinding on me or was bent over,” he added.

When Vinny Guadagnino aptly points out that French Fry did, in fact, grind on Ron's junk. the famous agro Magro 'roid rage rears its ugly head.

“I did not close the door, and you know what, I didn’t know that the f—king door had an ‘automatic closer’ out of nowhere," Ronnie argued as a flashback clip of him closing the door to "see if it works" appeared on our screens."

"So the door shut, so it looked worse than what it really was. I did not shut the door.”

The episode concluded with Jen actually showing up at the house and the question of how long it will take The Situation to blow up Ron's spot lingered over the ostensibly happy scene.

These days, of course, reality TV shows are multimedia affairs.

We watch the events of several months ago unfold on our TV screens, and then we get real-time updates on social media.

So while last night's episode may have ended with a cliffhanger, we know exactly how the Ronnie-Jen situation plays out - in a word, horribly.

Just last week, Ronnie called Jen a "c-m dumpster" in a bizarre Instagram rant in which he also accused her of refusing to delete sex tapes she made with her ex.
